Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps

These Ground Turkey Lettuce wraps might be my new “go-to” dinner. They were so easy to make and packed with flavor. Cooking healthy can get boring sometimes so you need to find new recipes that get you excited about what you’re eating. These lettuce wraps […]

Margot Jane came into the world fast and furious y Margot Jane came into the world fast and furious yesterday, May 16th @ 2:34pm. Weighing a healthy 7lbs 14.8oz, we are over the moon & absolutely in love. Can’t wait to bring her home to meet her big brother 🤍🤍
39 weeks today. Feeling anxious about this new ch 39 weeks today.
Feeling anxious about this new chapter, but also extremely grateful.
I found myself breaking down a lot yesterday and I had to do some self reflection. Whenever a new transition is in my future I begin to panic (which I’m sure others do as well).
When Thomas and I were about to move to Spain I had extreme anxiety for weeks leading up to it. Weeks leading up to Theo’s birth, same thing. And although I’ve done this before it’s still a new adventure that we as a family are about to embark on.
I’ve heard so many people say, “the transition from 1 to 2 children is the hardest.” Of course that sticks with you, and you dwell on it.
“How will Theo do?” “How will I share my love with both children equally?” “Will I have any patience left?” “Will my marriage/relationship with my partner suffer?” All these thoughts & many more rush through my mind on a daily basis as I await the birth of my second child. Basically every emotion I could possibly feel is happening all at once. I’ve been truly trying to center myself when I have some peace and quiet (showers, alone time after Theo is in bed, walks). I’ve been saying more prayers than usual asking God for strength & guidance as I enter this new phase of life. We are anxiously awaiting your arrival little one, and we can’t wait to meet you.

It’s crazy how different pregnancies can be. Wit It’s crazy how different pregnancies can be. With Theo I was taking photos every week, I was constantly checking the app, and I felt like I was way more “present” for the entire thing. This pregnancy has been completely different for me. I’m now chasing after a toddler, working, and just trying to make it through the day. But today I asked Thomas to take a photo of me because I truly haven’t “documented” much at all. I told myself I would try to be a little more mindful during my pregnancy because it’s flying by. I think sometimes we take for granted how amazing pregnancy is especially when we’ve already done it before. We just go through the motions and forget to soak up all the beautiful moments we experience. This morning I called Thomas and Theo over to watch the baby move, and although Theo can’t truly comprehend it yet it was a magical moment. I will try to remain present for the rest my pregnancy. I will practice gratitude every day for being blessed enough to experience this miracle not once but twice. #24weekspregnant #pregnancy
